Breaking News at ASCO: Single-Dose Radiation for Early Breast Cancer

On Saturday, June 5, 2010, at the American Society of Clinical Oncology meeting in Chicago, CoActive promoted the landmark clinical results of TARGIT single-dose radiation therapy for breast cancer treatment. The 10-year study showed that a single-dose of radiation at the time of breast cancer surgery is equivalent up to six and a half weeks of traditional radiation therapy and these results were published in the prestigious peer-reviewed publication, The Lancet. Despite facing stringent embargoes from ASCO and the The Lancet, CoActive was able to secure more than 100 news stories in just one week for this new therapy during the largest cancer meeting in the country.
